Free Logan Square!

Free Logan Square!

Logan Square Skatepark recently put in a skatepark under the 90/94 expressway on Logan Boulevard in Chicago. However, BMX bikes aren’t allowed in the park, and a rider has even been ticketed for riding the park. This place is a blast for BMX bikes, so Kevin Porter has decided to try to band together the Chicago riders and get bikes into the park. The plan is to meet at his coffee shop on Mondays at 4:00PM, and ride to the Logan Square alderman’s Public Night, when the alderman is forced to face the public on a weekly basis. Each person is guaranteed fifteen minutes of face time with the general public. Having a big showing of BMX riders to speak to the alderman would make quite a statement about the unfair treatment of BMX bikes in Chicago. So if you can, stop by and support!

Crossroads Photo Update

Collin: X-Up the Makeshift Hip

Wow, an actual update? Yup. The afternoon started at Lansing with Jose, Ricky, Drew, and Collin. Collin trying barspins and doing other flat ground tricks at Lansing. Then Ricky took us to a sweet gap to wallride setup, which ended up getting done for the photo camera. After the wallride setup, Drew took us to a spot he’d only seen from a bridge, which didn’t turn out to be that great…but there was the raddest hip ever on location, so it turned out to be good. With the sun fading, we revisited a spot from Drew’s video part and he did a new move on it, so good! Check out all the photos in the full post.

Jose Razo's Top Five Excuses for Being Late

Just for the record, this is all in good fun! Like everyone else in the area, Jose takes a fair amount of good-natured shit talking, so I decided to combine all of the common things we give him shit about into one article.
