The Collin Report
As I’m sure many of you have heard by now, Collin got into a pretty bad situation with a railhop gone bad. The photo above was taken after a five and a half hour operation to piece back together the top of his tibia. As well as repairing the tibia, they reconnected his ACL and patella tendon, which also were jarred loose from their normal positions during the crash. I don’t believe that he tore his ACL, but he’s definitely got a bit of recovery ahead of him, so I hope that everyone has his best wishes in mind. Collin seemed to be in pretty good spirits yesterday when I saw him, and Ross reported today that he was moving around on crutches. Looking at the injury in a positive note, Collin got immediate medical care to the spot of the accident, and luckily a doctor was also on hand to give some assistance immediately after the crash. Leg damage isn’t any good, but things could have gotten a lot worse, so we’re all thankful that there were no head damages or anything of that nature. On a personal note, I’m glad Collin is still with us. Even though it’s a pretty cheesy and cliche thing to say, be grateful for what you have, and don’t take it for granted.
Also, I don’t want to sound like a dick, but Collin hasn’t seen photos/footage of the crash, so please don’t ask to see either until after he sees them and decides what he wants to do about them.
